Water Features Made Easy! |

I am a rock artist, and I am always looking for new ways for my clients to showcase their stone art. A large percentage of my pieces are used in a garden setting. I like to think of them as fountain accents...yard jewelry. That sort of thing. well, if you have a Borders store (bookstore) near you, go on over to their bargain books section and pick up a copy of this book: The Practical Rock and Water Garden, by Peter Robinson. The discount price is $5.99, and it's worth every cent, and more. It has gorgeous pictures, and simple awesome instructions for building every kind of water feature you could want. Beginners will love the instructions, and experienced landscape gardeners will appreciate the layout according to theme. I am so thrilled with this book that I am going outside to gather up the stuff to make a really beautiful pebble fountain. And the best part is that I already have most of the required materials on hand. Just need a couple things from the garden center and I should be relaxing by my fountain tomorrow. And the doggies will love it on those hot summer days. I'll take a photo and show you when it's done! Just a quick reminder, though, not to put painted rocks IN the fountain...they'll be ruined for sure. So just place them NEAR the fountain, and the effect is still dazzling! peace, Lin |
